News / Events

Date of Next Meeting: An online meeting 7.00pm  20th January 2026 to discuss planning and any urgent business. The next Ordinary Meeting is scheduled for 7.00 pm on 17th February 2026 at Llanyre Church Hall 

However, meetings may be called at other times  to deal with planning or other urgent issues.

Agenda 

Meetings of the council are open to the public, except when very sensitive matters are being discussed. Llanyre Community Council meetings are open to everyone and you are welcome to express your views or ask questions. Please contact the Clerk if you would like to join a meeting remotely in order that a link may be arranged.

#Support Local Powys Campaign

Residents in Powys are being urged to support and shop locally wherever possible as part of a campaign launched by the county council.

Have a look ot our recent Biodiversity Report. We were surprised when we looked back over the how much had happened even though we were restricted by Covid during the 2021. Thank you so much to averyone who volunteered in practical ways and also supported project in other ways too. 

2022 Llanyre Community Council Biodiversity Report 

We will publish an updated report at the end of 2025 - meanwhile take a walk around Aberithon Turbary in Newbridge where local volunteers have used funding from generous local people and organisations and a wonderful grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund to improve accessibility.  More work will be underway in 2025 supported by funding from NRW to safeguard this special environment please visit to enjoy this and if you have some spare time perhaps volunteer to help too!
